EDIBA Competencies for Performance Management

The competencies defined below were developed to support the libraries and university-wide commitment to EDIBA. Demonstrating these competencies supports our commitment to advance our cultural knowledge and capabilities, achieve inclusive excellence, and build a diverse workforce where everyone can thrive.

  • Critical cataloging and classification to mitigate bias and systems of oppression within subject headings
  • Create a culture of inclusion such as revamping your office onboarding practice to be more inclusive

Collaboration

Fosters a sense of inclusive collegial partnership where individuals are treated fairly and respectfully without regard to their position; where opportunities are available to all; and where different viewpoints and perspectives are valued.

  • Departmental, library-wide or university -wide EDIBA collaboration of projects, workflows, etc.
  • Meetings to discuss diversifying the collections

Negotiates and persuades effectively to impact organizational and cultural change
